Terms of Service

This is the agreement between you and MY LAURA LLC. We have tried to write it in plain language where possible, with the standard legal language where required. By using MY LAURA, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a MY LAURA account, accessing the MY LAURA service, or using any part of getmylaura.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Description of service

MY LAURA is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for remodeling contractors. Features include estimates, invoices, change orders, purchase orders, scheduling, project management, client and trade partner portals, business reports, and integrations with QuickBooks Online, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Stripe, and SendGrid.

3. Account and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to enter into a binding contract to create a MY LAURA account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscription and payment

MY LAURA is offered at $199 per month or $1,990 per year paid annually. All fees are in US dollars and are charged via Stripe.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. On cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, then your account moves to read-only mode for 30 days before final deletion.

Refunds: We offer a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. If you cancel within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, we refund in full. Refunds outside the first 30 days are granted case-by-case.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use MY LAURA for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
  • Use MY LAURA to send spam or violate CAN-SPAM or TCPA requirements
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to breach security
  • Scrape the platform or abuse rate limits
  • Resell MY LAURA as your own product
  • Impersonate another user or entity

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

6. Data ownership and license

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to MY LAURA — estimates, invoices, client data, photos, documents, all of it. You grant MY LAURA LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you. This license terminates when you cancel your account or delete the content.

We do not train AI models on your data. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Intellectual property

MY LAURA LLC retains all rights to the MY LAURA software, design, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the MY LAURA service except as explicitly permitted.

8. Third-party integrations

MY LAURA integrates with third-party services (QuickBooks, Google, Stripe, SendGrid). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. MY LAURA is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.

9. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime measured monthly. We do not commit to a specific SLA for the baseline $199/month plan. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance via email.

10. Warranties and disclaimers

MY LAURA is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every business need.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MY LAURA LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify MY LAURA LLC against claims arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. We may terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these terms, non-payment, or conduct that harms other users or the service. On termination, you retain 30 days of read-only access to export your data.

14. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of MY LAURA will be resolved through binding arbitration in Maricopa County, Arizona, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing laura@getmylaura.com within 30 days of creating your account.

15. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of MY LAURA after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.
