Summary
We collect the data you give us so the product works. We do not sell it. We do not train AI on it. We share it only with services you connect (QuickBooks, Google, Stripe, SendGrid). You can export or delete everything at any time.
Who we are
MY LAURA is operated by MY LAURA LLC, a Delaware-registered LLC with a principal place of business in Chandler, Arizona. You can reach us at laura@getmylaura.com or at the address listed in our footer.
What data we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account data: name, email, password (hashed), phone number, company name, role
- Business data: client contact info, trade partner contact info, estimates, invoices, change orders, purchase orders, projects, photos, documents, and any other content you enter or upload
- Billing data: billing name, billing address, last four digits of the payment method — we do not store full card numbers; those go directly to Stripe
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data: which pages you visit, which features you use, how long sessions last
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type
- Cookies: session cookies for authentication; see the Cookies section below
Information from connected services
When you connect QuickBooks Online, Google Drive, or Google Calendar, we access only the data those OAuth scopes permit. We document the exact scopes in each integration setting.
How we use your data
We use your data for exactly three things:
- Operating the product — showing you your estimates, syncing to QuickBooks, sending client SMS notifications, etc.
- Supporting you — responding to emails, troubleshooting issues, sending account notifications
- Improving the product — aggregated usage analytics to understand which features get used
We do not use your data for advertising, AI model training, or selling to data brokers. If that changes, you'll hear about it before it happens, and you'll have the option to opt out or leave.
Who we share it with
We share data only with third parties that help us operate the product:
- Render (application hosting)
- Supabase (database hosting)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- SendGrid (transactional email)
- Google (only when you connect Drive or Calendar)
- Intuit / QuickBooks Online (only when you connect QuickBooks)
- A2P SMS telephony provider (for outbound SMS compliance)
We do not share your data with advertisers, analytics firms, or data brokers.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights over your data in MY LAURA:
- Access: see any data we have about you
- Export: download all your data in CSV or JSON format
- Correct: update incorrect information
- Delete: close your account and request full deletion
- Object: opt out of non-essential communication

If you are in California (CCPA), the European Union (GDPR), Canada (PIPEDA), or another jurisdiction with specific data rights laws, you have additional rights. Email us and we will walk you through them.
Cookies
MY LAURA uses two kinds of cookies:
- Essential cookies — authentication, session management. Required for the product to function.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous, aggregated usage data. You can disable these without breaking functionality.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting scripts.
Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you cancel:
- You have 30 days of read-only access to export everything
- After 30 days, your account is scheduled for deletion
- Full deletion happens within 60 days of cancellation
- Some legally-required records (tax invoices, payment records) are retained for 7 years per US tax law
Children
MY LAURA is a B2B product. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a child, email laura@getmylaura.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Minor clarifications are updated inline with a new "Last updated" date at the top.
